LivingKind: Sessions

When I started LivingKind Design in 2018, I wanted to offer more than an art studio. I wanted to capture a way of living.

A moment to pause. A space to connect. A return to what matters.

LivingKind Sessions are in-person experiences that blend visual art, music, reflection, and conversation. Through Wonder, Paint Jam, Open Studio, and more, we create space to slow down, reconnect, and experience the joy of creativity in community.

These gatherings are not about artistic ability or creating something perfect. They are invitations to explore, experiment, make, and connect in a welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged and everyone belongs.

In a world where we are constantly living beyond human scale, LivingKind Sessions offer a chance to return to something simpler:

To slow down.
To pay attention.
To make together.
To remember how to be.

Upcoming Workshops

  • Wonder Sessions

    WONDER SESSIONS

    FIRST SESH: WONDER | AWE
    FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 2026 | 7 PM–9 PM
A place to slow down, notice more deeply, and reconnect with beauty, curiosity, and creativity through painting, conversation, and quiet reflection.

Wonder Sessions are an invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life, turn off the noise, and make space for the things we often overlook—beauty, curiosity, connection, and the simple joy of being present.

Each gathering explores a different doorway into wonder, offering time to reflect, create, and reconnect with what makes life feel meaningful.

A small act of resistance against a culture that asks us to constantly produce, achieve, and move faster.

  • OPEN STUDIO

    OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS

    SUNDAY, JUL. 26, 2026 | Noon – 4 PM
    SUNDAY, AUG. 30, 2026 | Noon – 4 PM
A welcoming space to create, connect, and make time for the projects that bring you joy.

Open Studio Sessions are relaxed gatherings where you can bring your own projects, explore new materials, or simply spend time making alongside others. There’s no class, no agenda, and no expectation—just time set aside to follow your curiosity and enjoy the quiet companionship of a creative community.

Bring something you’ve been wanting to finish, start something new, or experiment with a different medium. Snacks to share are always welcome.

Come make something. Come meet someone. Come spend time creating together.

  • Paint Jam Session

    PAINT JAM SESSIONS

    WEDNESDAY, SEPT 30, 2026 | 7–9 PM

An evening ritual of music, painting, and creative freedom.

Join us as we listen—start to finish—to a full album together while you paint, experiment, and follow where the music takes you. No class. No pressure. No expectation to create something “good.” Just music, paint, and the joy of making something with your hands alongside others.

Bring your own supplies or use the studio materials, and let the music guide the evening.

Come as you are. Paint what you feel. Let the music take you somewhere.

One or more art experiences a month can extend your life by ten years.

20 minutes of art making can reduce cortisol levels and help keep stress at bay.

Why don’t you offer these sessions on Zoom?

Because the experience is about more than learning a skill or following along with an activity. It’s about creating space to slow down, pay attention, and connect—with yourself, with others, and with the moment.

There is something different that happens when we gather in the same room. When we step away from our screens, sit beside other people, share conversations, make things with our hands, and experience something together, we create a kind of connection that can’t be replicated online.

LivingKind Design is about creating places to be—not just content to consume.

The painting, music, reflection, and conversation are all invitations to be present. The real magic happens in the pauses, the unexpected conversations, the laughter, the shared quiet, and the feeling of belonging that comes from making something alongside others.

In a world where so much of our lives happens through a screen, these sessions are intentionally a chance to step away from one and return to something more human.
